In an effort to better support and promote the geek culture, as well as to gain experience in learning and building websites that have potential commercial value, I set up 1337ist.com. I am a founding member of a geek co-operative in the Cleveland area called the Geek Empire. Basically, we take in folks that are interested in commercial computing, yet have very little experience. By sharing our knowledge, equipment and resources, we strive to better ourselves by becoming educated not only about technology, but how to apply it our lives to make it relevant and marketable.

By supporting this site, you are helping to support the geeks in the group as they gain valuable experience. This is accomplished through the purchase of new equipment, books and bandwidth.
